Review: Skruf Fresh Mint Slim White No02 Medium
Today, we’re talking about a snus that has been around for quite a long time. I can remember using this one all the way back in 2015! This is Skruf Snus’ Skruf Slim Fresh. Now it’s called No02 Mint Medium Slim White. For some reason, the Skruf line has recently got some long names. The new designs are nice, though. They really hearken back to the old days of Skruf and have a simple, clean look to them. But, you didn’t come here to hear me babble about can designs, you came here to hear me review snus. Or, read, rather. So, without further ado, let’s check out Skruf Slim Fresh!
You’ll notice the catch lid is right on top, and pops off to reveal a compartment to deposit your used portions if you aren’t near a trash bin. The flavor description on this one says, “This white and slim portion snus from Skruf delivers medium strong kick together with a refreshing mint flavor over a well-rounded tobacco base”. Each can sits at 16.6 grams of weight, and has 24 portions, for 0.69g portions. The nicotine content is 14mg/g, but with the lighter portion weight that actually goes down to 9.66mg/portion.
I really like this snus. It’s a well balanced, not too in-your-face snus. In the aroma, for example, it’s a pure mint smell. It’s faintly sweet, and has a very light presence of peppermint to it. The portions are pretty soft to the touch, and lighter in the moisture department. They have a nice fit under the lip, and a comfortable feel against the gum. There is also a gentle cooling presence you’ll encounter after putting a portion in, due to the mint flavor profile. The taste of this one is pretty nice. It’s mild and gentle and not a super in your face snus. The peppermint flavor is subdued, and lightly sweet. It’s definitely one you can use all the time and not burn out on. The nicotine strength is milder, and feels to hang out at around the regular strength level. The flavor longevity is also impressive, lasting up to an hour!
The Bottom Line
This is a snus I don’t hear talked about much, but it’s been around for a long time. It’s one I’ll order from time to time when I want something milder.
