Review: Volt Sparks City Park Zen
Swedish Match has released another new nicotine pouch in their Volt series, and today I have a can in hand to talk about. Today, we’re checking out Volt Park Zen! It seems like new nicotine pouch products pop up. Some have standard flavors like mint. Some, are a bit more unique. This is one that falls on the more unique side. So, let’s check it out, shall we?
The flavor description on this one is said to be a mix of “sandalwood, dried rose petals, sage and sweet licorice”. That is truly an interesting combination, and not like anything I’ve had before. The catch lid pops off the top of the can, and is a place to quickly discard of your used portions. Each can weighs 14.7g and has 21 portions, sitting at 0.7g each. The bottom of the can puts the nicotine at 6.5mg/pouch, which in total is 9.29mg/g. However, the mg/pouch is really the only number that matters in terms of strength.
Opening the can, the aroma that comes through is quite outdoorsy. I pick up a slight floral sweetness, along with a little woodsy touch from the sandalwood and sage. The licorice tones are there, but more mild in the aroma than how they present in the flavor. The pouches are slim, moderately soft, and comfortable under the lip. The flavor has a decent build time to it, and develops in a mellow way. At first I notice a taste of licorice. Behind it, slightly floral notes and then hints of wood, perhaps a little pine. It’s a very interesting flavor profile. In the nicotine strength, this one feels about regular. The flavor lasts about 30-40 minutes.
The Bottom Line
As someone who loves unique flavors, I was pretty pleased with this one. I found it to be different from others out there, but balanced, and enjoyable. It’s one you could use all the time if you like tastes that aren’t your average, every day, run of the mill flavor.
