Top 5 Summer Snus Flavors
Summer is upon us! Spring was fun, but it’s time for some fun in the sun. When summer rolls around every year, there are a few products that I reach for that just fit right with the warmer months. You’ll notice a lot of Jakobsson’s here because they make fun summer-type flavors, but there’s also a few others that I like. So, let’s check out my top 5 favorite snus options for the summer of 2023!
Nick & Johnny Americana
Picture it: hotdogs on the grill. Fireworks in the sky. A cold glass of Coke. And the smell of summer in the air. There is one snus that perfectly captures all the sensations you’ll feel on a warm summer night: Nick & Johnny Americana. This snus is a love hate one for a lot of people. But me? I love it. It’s one of my all time favorites. If you’ve ever had Cherry Dr. Pepper before, it’s a lot like that. In the flavor, you get notes of spicy tobacco, cherry, wood, almond, and yes even wintergreen. It sounds wrong, but everything about this snus is so, so right.
Jakobsson’s Cola
There’s nothing better on a warm summer day than an ice cold Coke. Or, if you’re like me, Pepsi. Jakobsson’s Cola perfectly captures the sweet, crisp taste of cola. I prefer the original portion version to express this flavor best, but the slim white portion they make isn’t bad either. Ultimately, it depends on if you want a bold flavor, or a mild flavor. But if you like the sweet taste of cola, this is one you’ll want to check out.
Jakobsson’s Melon
Here in the south, we eat a lot of watermelon. It’s a classic taste of summer! I’m one of the weird ones who likes to put salt on my watermelon. But, when it comes to snus, there’s one melon snus that absolutely hits just right in the summertime: Jakobsson’s Melon. Like with the cola one, I prefer the original portion version of this one, too. The slim white is good if you want less drip and a milder taste, but this version is the best to me. It has a sweet, present taste of watermelon with a little hint of pear. Absolutely beautiful!
Jakobsson’s Wintergreen
If you know me, you know wintergreen is a love hate snus for me. Sometimes I crave it. Sometimes I can’t stand it. But when I’m in the woods, I always have a can of wintergreen with me. Or, if I’m working outside or camping. The best wintergreen snus on the market to me is Jakobsson’s Wintergreen. This one is a very approachable. In this one, I like the slim white version most, but if you want a more bold taste of wintergreen check out the original portion version.
Lundgren’s Norrland
I spend a lot of time in the woods in the summertime. And when I’m amongst the trees, there is one snus I always have in my pocket: Lundgren’s Norrland. On our farm, we have a bunch of pine and spruce trees, and one of the reasons I like this one is that the taste is a nice mix of pine, spruce, and tobacco. This is probably the best outdoors snus. They also make a stark version if you want something stronger.

An honorable mention on this list that I didn’t mention was Lundgren’s Vastkusten. I wanted to throw that in before we wrap up, because I just opened a can of it today.
