Review: Siberia (Power Portion) Brown
Today, we’re going to be talking about, quite possibly, the strongest snus in the world. This is Siberia Brown. While there are quite a few variants of Siberia out there, the strongest ones you will find are in the Siberia Brown and Siberia Black lineup. The standard benchmark for Siberia is 43mg/g of nicotine, but with the white dry and slim white dry formats, you’ll notice that 43mg/g strength lowers. But, with Siberia Brown and Siberia Black you get 1 gram portions, which means you get a full 43mg of nicotine in every pouch. While I’m not commonly a user of these products, they are quite popular! While the Red and Blue variants seem to be more common, this one is no slouch. So, let’s talk about it!
When I open a can, I notice this one has a standard catch lid on top. A lot of GN Tobacco’s catch lids are on a hinge, but this one pops off the top like normal for used portion depositing. The flavor description on this one says, “This original portion snus delivers Siberia’s refreshing spearmint flavor together with the brand’s iconic, powerful and ultra-strong nicotine kicks!” The can weighs in at 20 grams and has 20 pouches for 1 gram each. The nicotine content is 43mg/g. As mentioned earlier, since this one has 1 gram portions you get the full 43mg of nicotine in every portion.
Opening up the can, one thing I notice is how plump and moist these portions are, even more moist than most original portions out there. Nice! The aroma of this one is quite present, and quickly jumps out at you. I pick up a predominant mintyness from it, along with a dark tobacco aroma. When I put a portion in, I’m quite satisfied with the quality. They are nice and plump, incredibly soft, and super moist! I get a little burn at first when I put one in, followed up by a nice cooling sensation. In the flavor profile, the mint and tobacco mix really well together. The spearmint flavor seems to have a little menthol to it, and a very subdued sweetness. The tobacco base is rich, dark, and present. In the nicotine strength, this one has quite a kick. Again, this is the strongest snus on the market. Well, alongside Siberia Black Original Portion. I feel a kick within minutes of putting it in, and it hits like a truck. The flavor hangs out quite a while, usually the standard 40-45 minutes of an original portion.
The Bottom Line
If you know me, you know I don’t personally go over 20mg of nicotine in products I use. This one is a bit too strong for me to use personally. I like everything else about it other than the strength. It has a nice taste, and the portions are top notch. It’s just too strong for me. However, if you’re a high octane snuser, you’re going to be quite pleased with this one. It’s got a bold flavor, and quite a kick to it! If you’re looking for something that has some kick, you’re going to love it!
