Loop Licorice Fusion Extra Strong Review
I’ve been a fan of Another Snus Factory’s Loop series for many years. I’ve always spoke highly of their product quality, as well as their unique flavors! They were one of the first in the nicotine pouch segment to mix spicy tastes, which we now see others doing. Today, we have another “fusion” of flavors to check out with Loop Licorice Fusion! This one has an interesting blend of licorice and raspberry. Licorice is a pretty popular taste in Scandinavia, and more companies are starting to bring forth licorice flavors to the nicotine pouch segment. Of all the blends and pairings I’ve tried so far, I think raspberry and licorice is one of the tastiest blends you can find! And, that is what we have today with Loop Licorice Fusion. So, let’s get into this review and check out this tasty nicotine pouch!
The product description for this one says, “Loop Licorice Fusion Extra Strong – A tobacco free and all-white snus from Loop and the manufacturer Another Snus Factory that offers a stimulating and flavorful experience in a discreet way. Its slim sized nicotine pouches deliver extra strong nicotine kicks (12.5 mg/portion) together with a flavor fusion of salty licorice and sweet raspberries. The natural plant fiber filling used by these comfortable nicopods ensures that they won’t stain and that they offer a low drip experience, which in turn lengthens their satisfying release of both flavor and nicotine”. Each can weighs 13.8 grams and contains 22 nicotine pouches, weighing in at 0.63 grams each. The nicotine content is 20mg/g, which comes to 12.55mg/pouch. So while it’s called an extra strong, in nicotine per pouch it’s closer to the strong level.
Opening up the can, the black licorice aroma comes through pretty clearly, and it’s rounded out quite nicely by a subtle, fresh taste of raspberry. It has a slight sweetness to it, but it certainly isn’t overdone which is a nice touch. The pouches themselves are pretty soft, and moderately moist. They aren’t super moist, nor are they super dry. I find them to fall right in the middle. Under the lip, they feel pretty soft and comfortable against the gum, and have a moderate, gentle release of flavor from the pouch. In the flavor profile, it’s a pretty interesting one, and quite tasty at that. The black licorice flavor is present, and comes across in a gentle way. The raspberry flavor comes in right behind it, and adds subtle fruity undertones to the taste of black licorice. It’s slightly sweet, but not overly sweet. The flavor has a pretty nice fusion to it of berry and licorice. It’s pretty well balanced, and I find it quite enjoyable. In the nicotine department, it has a pretty decent kick to it. It doesn’t feel extra strong, and delivers more around the strong level. The nicotine release is pretty gradual, and it has a comfortable delivery. The flavor lasts quite a while on this one! Usually, with most products in the Loop family I can get around 35-40 minutes out of them. Sometimes, a little more. But I do find a decent amount of life and flavor release with this one.
The Bottom Line
All in all, this is a pretty good pouch! I like the way the raspberry blends with the licorice flavor. It’s a pretty pleasant, balanced and enjoyable taste. If you’re a nicotine pouch consumer and have never ventured into the Loop family before, it’s one that is well worth checking out, I’m a big fan of their Jalapeno Lime, and they also have one with a mango taste that I enjoy.
