Those are my two favorites. I’ll be honest, when I saw black pepper being added to that I was a bit nervous. But, I kept an open mind, as usual, and went into this one cautiously optimistic.

Opening the can, I definitely notice black pepper coming off the can as soon as I open it. A nice, lightly sweet aroma of honeydew comes in behind it, but wow, it definitely has some pepper to it! The pouches are a little lighter in weight, at 0.5 grams each. They have a slim shape, and a decent moisture amount. I find them to be pretty soft to the touch, and comfortable when I put one under my upper lip. They feel quite nice against the gums! The flavor is better than the aroma. In the aroma, it’s mostly pepper. And yes, in the taste, you can taste a lot of black pepper. But I do get more honeydew in the flavor than I picked up in the aroma, which is pretty nice. It has some sweetness to it, but thankfully it isn’t overdone. A lot of nicotine pouches can go over on the sweetness in most products, but with this one, thankfully there isn’t as much of that. The pepper isn’t spicy, like spicy hot, but it does add some “spice” to the flavor. It’s an interesting one, that’s for sure. In terms of strength, this one isn’t too strong. I find it to feel about the regular strength level, but maybe just a little above that. It’s not weak by any means, but it’s also not overbearingly strong, so it fits right in that middle ground sweet-spot. The flavor lasts a decent amount of time, hanging out a good 40-45 minutes, on average!
The Bottom Line
I’ve always been impressed with Ministry of Snus and their Ace series. These are some of the highest quality nicotine pouches on the market, and they have some great, long lasting flavors to them. I like that they still get creative. I mean, honeydew and black pepper? Who would have thought of that? It’s an interesting flavor. I can’t say it’s something I’d use a lot of, but I won’t deny that I would probably buy a few more cans of it for when I get a craving for something a little bit different!
