The Chad "Snubie" Jones Origin Story
Chad "Snubie" Jones didn"t set out to become the king of snus. Initially, he sought a simple and effective way to quit smoking. He"d tried all the standard methods, including NRTs such as nicotine gum and patches, going cold turkey, and even the quit-smoking drug Chantix.
Nothing stuck. However, one night a chance encounter in a local store led him to snus. It wasn"t love at first sight, though. In fact, it was far from it.
While appreciating that snus could potentially help him quit for good, the product available at his local store was overly sweet and lacked nicotine. It just didn"t have the oomph he was looking for.
What followed was a deep dive into real snus, premium Swedish snus, and thus his journey into the world of snus was underway, and it wouldn"t be long before Snubie was born.

How does it feel to write for the new SnusExpress.com blog?
“For several years now, I"ve said there should be more blogs, video channels, and more outlets spreading the word of snus all over the internet. I was really excited to be a part of launching this new blog on SnusExpress.com. It"s fun to see something grow and take flight, but also to contribute my view on snus and nicotine pouches.”
What do you think is your biggest challenge? Is there one?
“For me, my biggest challenge in writing is always figuring out the how. The what is easy, I write about snus and nicotine pouches. But the how is the fun part. I don"t want what I write to sound exactly like what I write on Snubie, but I want it to carry my unique voice, so it"s always a challenge to sculpt my articles in a very Snubie-way, but not as a clone of my writings on Snubie.”
What do you think might be the best aspect of writing for SnusExpress?
“I think the most fun part will be revisiting a lot of products I haven"t had in a long time. Many of these reviews will be products I may have had for the last time 5-6 years ago, so it"ll be fun to revisit some products. It"ll be like when old friends come to town to visit.”
What is your main goal with your reviews?
“My main goal for my reviews will be to of course cover popular products, but to also shine some light on some products that may not get enough attention, or some underrated products. For example, Tre Ankare is a snus I don"t feel people talk about enough, so doing a review of that one may show people a new snus that they haven"t heard of before or may not have considered trying.”
How do you cope if you do not like the taste of a specific snus product?
“The biggest challenge with product reviewing is trying to walk the line between informing and reviewing. My style of writing has always been to inform people about a product, but also to find a way to review it and remain objective. In most reviews I do, I try to cover a product completely, but to make sure to mention my personal opinion as well. I recognize that not every taste is for every consumer, so I try to sculpt my reviews to be mindful of that!”
