Review: Loop Red Chili Melon Extra Strong
Today we have a product on hand by Another Snus Factory in their popular Loop Nicotine Pouches line: Loop Red Chili Melon Extra Strong Nicotine Pouches! I really like Loop’s products. There are a lot of companies out there making nicotine pouches, and Loop is one of those product lines that I put in the upper echelon of products regarding product quality. I’m a big fan of their Jalapeño Lime product; it’s one that I use regularly myself. But, this one is probably a close number two for me when looking at their ranks. One thing I really like about Loop is that they’re not afraid to use a little heat. They have a lot of products that blend heat and other flavors: Mint & Habanero, Jalapeno & Lime, Melon & Chili, Mango & Pepper, etc. As a lover of spice and all things hot, this is right up my alley.
So, without further ado, let’s get into it and check this one out!
The flavor description for this one says, “LOOP Red Chili Melon Strong – A tobacco free and all-white snus from Loop and the manufacturer Another Snus Factory that offers an exciting flavor experience where spiciness meets a dash of fruity sweetness. Its slim and discreet nicotine pouches deliver strong nicotine kicks. Together with a flavor of hot and red chili topped with clear tones of watermelon.The natural plant fiber filling used by its comfortable nicopods ensures that they won’t stain and that they drip minimally. This low amount of drip makes sure that they provide a long-lasting release of both flavor and nicotine”. Each can weighs in at 13.75g and has 24 pouches, for 0.57g pouches. The nicotine content is 15mg/g, and with the pouch weight that breaks down to 8.55mg/pouch.
When I open the can, I notice an aroma of pepper first. It’s kind of like a mild pepper, like a jalapeno. Right behind the pepper comes a fresh, lightly sweet, juicy aroma of melon. To me it’s a sweeter melon, which makes me think of a watermelon. The pouches are slim, moderately soft, and slightly light in weight. They feel good under the lip though, and have a little heat that comes through when you put one in. I like that, it’s a fun little feeling when you put one under the lip. The taste on this one is top notch. I really enjoy the blending of the heat, the spice, and the melon. It’s a nice mix of hot and smooth, sweet and spicy. The melon comes through clearly, with a subtle sweetness to it. The pepper spice balanced it out and adds some heat to it. The two work really well together. The flavor lasts a good amount of time though, it builds and hangs out a good 45 minutes, which I like about this one. You also get a decent kick with it. Though only 8.55mg/pouch, to me it feels about the strong level, not quite the extra strong level.
The Bottom Line
I really like Loop, and their products. The product quality in general is top notch, but I like their approach to blending unique flavors. And, as a lover of all things spicy, I like the blend of sweet and spicy they present in a lot of their products. This one is quite good, and one that stands out to me. It’s a very tasty product, and one I’d recommend checking out if you’ve never had it before. Also, try their Jalapeno Lime, it’s a favorite. Honestly, all their products are good so maybe just get one of each. That’s my suggestion.
