The Lab

In the autumn of 2008 Swedish Match assembled a team of scientists, designers and snusers to develop a new snus. The most up to date research findings as well as the common snus users’ experiences were used in the developing process.

The goal was to add something new and innovative to the snus market and their work led up to a new type of portion; Swedish Match calls it “Slim”. Slim is – as the name suggest – a long and narrow portion that should be less visible, whilst maintaining a relative plumpness under the lip. The Lab also developed a formula that makes the pouches less runny, but with a more intense flavor release.
