Ettan

Ettan is one of the most consumed snus brands in Sweden and was introduced during the early 19th century. The man behind Ettan is Jacob Fredrik Ljunglöf. Ettan snus is characterized by a classic tobacco flavoring, and the loose variation of the brand has tasted the same since 1822! Ettan Original Portion was introduced in the year of 1990 and was followed up by the white portion sixteen years later.

The success behind Ettan is the taste. The recipe is simple; a mix of tobacco, water and salt. When Jacob Fredric Ljunglöf created Ettan he also created a brand new manufacturing method – which resulted in a flawless quality that at the time no other manufacturer could compete with.

During the 19th century snus manufacturers would categorize their products according to quality, where No. 1 – for example – would be the best. Jacob Fredrik Ljunglöf, on the other hand, lauched his No. 1 as a stand-alone brand, and watched it spread all over Sweden, and now it is taking on the world!
