Review: G3 Wire Super Strong Slim White Dry
For the past few months, I’ve been on a big energy drink kick. I’ve been a big fan of the Red Bull Zero Sugar (when I can find it), and the Red Bull Sugar-Free when I can’t find the other. Today, we’re visiting a snus that has that flavor in every pouch: G.3 Wire. This is a super strong snus from Swedish Match, that comes in a slim, white dry pouch. It’s a great pick me up first thing in the morning due to the nicotine level, much like having an energy drink when you start your day off! So, let’s throw in a portion and talk about this snus!
You’ll find the catch lid on the top of the can, a quick and easy place to discard of your used portions if you aren’t near a trash receptacle. The flavor description for this one says, “A discreet and slim white portion snus from G.3 that delivers ultra-strong kicks together with an energy drink-inspired flavor of tropical fruits topped with tones of red berries!”. Each can weighs 16.6 grams and I count 24 portions in the can, meaning 0.69g portions. The nicotine content sits at a super strong 26mg/g, but with the 0.69g portions, which lowers to 17.94mg/portion.
Opening up the can, it’s a lot like opening a can of Red Bull. The energy drink aroma is present, and comes through with notes of tart, red berry. The pouches are slim, and semi-dry to the touch. They are pretty comfortable under the lip, however, and don’t feel too dry or abrasive once you put one in. The flavor of this one is quite good. If you’re an energy drink lover, you’ll be happy with this one. The tart, tangy red berry flavor is front and center. It’s really tasty stuff. The nicotine kick is no slouch, either. This one feels firmly at the extra strong level and packs quite a punch to it. Being a white dry, you get a long lasting flavor. I can push this one up to 1.5 hours, sometimes more!
The Bottom Line
I really dig this snus. It’s a bit too strong for me to use it full time, however I do enjoy a can from time to time. It’s a great pairing with an energy drink, or one you can use throughout the day if you’re into this sort of flavor.
