Review: G.3 Blue Mint
There’s quite a lot of mint snus products out there. And for someone new to snus, it may be a bit confusing. Where to start? Which ones are best? Which is the right one for me? Well, today we’re going to check out one of the better ones on the market: G.3 Blue Mint Extra Strong Slim White Dry. Wow, that’s a mouthfeel. But you know what isn’t a mouthful? This portion, because it’s a slim portion. So, who’s ready to get to know this snus? I know I’m ready to talk about it, so let’s check it out!
The flavor description on this one says, “This G.3 snus got you covered when you’re in the need for something extra strong (18 mg nicotine/portion) and refreshingly minty”. Looking at the can, you’ll see the catch lid right on top of the can. This is a great place to discard of used portions! The cans weigh in at 16.6 grams and contain 24 portions, weighing 0.69g each. The nicotine content sits at 26mg/g. That may sound strong, but due to the portion weight it’s actually only 17.94mg/portion.
Opening the can, you’ll notice a sharp, present, lightly sweet aroma of peppermint. The portions are nice and slim, with a soft feel to them. They are more dry than the average white portion, but not too dry that they’re uncomfortable. They have a nice feel under the lip, and against the gum. Also, since it’s a mint product, you’ll get a subtle cooling sensation when you put one under your lip. The flavor is pretty good. It’s milder, but not weak or anything. The peppermint taste is sharp, and very lightly sweet. It’s pretty well balanced, all in all! The nicotine kick is strong, and I find it to hit right at the extra strong level. If you want a good kick, this one has it. The flavor lasts quite a while, for me sometimes up to almost 2 hours. That is one added benefit of the white dry category!
The Bottom Line
If you like mint snus and want something with a balanced taste and a strong nicotine kick, this is a pretty good one. Swedish Match makes a high quality snus, and this one has it all: a balanced flavor, a comfortable portion, and a strong kick!
