I’ve never been one to get into the appeal of drinking coffee. I grew up with a lot of people around me doing it, all my friends did it, my wife does it, but it’s one I could never get into. But, the weird thing about that is that I enjoy the aroma of coffee. I like coffee flavored things. I like coffee cake. I just can’t do the drink. Well, I can, but I have to add so much stuff to it that it doesn’t really seem like coffee by the time I’m done with it. My standard recipe is a lot of creamer, a lot of added flavor, and just a dash of coffee. So, it’s more like creamer with a little coffee flavoring added to it. But, that being said, I do enjoy coffee flavored pouches. When it’s not in a beverage, I think coffee-infused flavors of smokeless products are pretty enjoyable. There aren’t a lot of them, which I find to be pretty surprising given how popular the coffee beverage is. It seems like there would be more of these out there. Maybe that will change someday. I know these flavors are pretty popular, so I hope more companies will jump on the train and make more of them for folks who enjoy this sort of thing.
I know that’s not the best way to start off an article about coffee flavored pouches, but I do like being upfront! That while I don’t drink the beverage, I still enjoy the flavor in pouches. Today, we have a few different ones to talk about, and different formats: Swedish Snus, nicotine pouches, and even one in the tobacco free format. Olde Ving 99 (Coffee) Original Portion Snus

Snubie’s Thoughts: This is currently the best snus product on the market with a coffee flavor. After Artisan Espresso was discontinued, this is now the only traditional snus product with a plump, moist portion and a coffee flavor. It’s still crazy to me that there aren’t more traditional snus products with this taste. There have been some of the years, but it seems that GN Tobacco’s Olde Ving 99 is the one that has outlasted all of them. This one is a relatively smooth flavor of coffee with some vanilla tones to it and a gentle tobacco tone. It also has a regular nicotine strength which is nice!

Snubie’s Thoughts: Al Capone is a different type of snus. If you’ve ever had mini dry nicotine pouches, this product is a lot like that. It’s a mini dry snus with stiff pouches. The flavor on this one is a milder one, too. The coffee taste doesn’t present as boldly as the Olde Ving variant does, but it still has a decent taste to it. This one is a relatively smooth, gentle taste of coffee. There’s not much tobacco character in the flavor profile, so it stays focused on a light, gentle, balanced taste of coffee.

Snubie’s Thoughts: Helwit is a relatively new line of nicotine pouches, but they have a pretty good assortment of flavors. I think their cola flavor is pretty good, and I like their product quality. Their Mocha nicotine pouch is another good addition to their flavor portfolio. This one has a relatively smooth flavor of coffee to it, and it is accentuated with some mild notes of caramel, and a little bit of chocolate in the background. It’s slightly sweet, but it doesn’t have so much added sweetness to it that it overtakes the coffee flavor profile in this one. This is certainly one of the better ones out there in the tobacco-free category!

Snubie’s Thoughts: Much like with Al Capone earlier, this one is similar in that it has the mini-dry pouches. If you’ve had Zyn before, for example, this is a lot like that. The pouches are a bit stiff in the lip, but in time they soften up as they grow more moist in the lip. This one has a milder flavor to it, with a gentle taste of coffee coming across. The flavor stays pretty mild throughout the usage of this pouch, and doesn’t become too incredibly bold or in your face. If you like flavors that are gentle in nature, you’ll find this one to be a pretty enjoyable pouch, and one you can use all day without it becoming too much.

Snubie’s Thoughts: VID makes a lot of interesting flavors, but their Caramel Coffee one may be one of their best. I think this is probably the best of the tobacco-free coffee flavors on this list. The coffee flavor is present, but it almost seems evenly balanced out with notes of caramel and vanilla. It has a sweetness to it that isn’t overdone, but there’s just enough that it adds to the flavor character of this pouch. The blending of coffee, caramel, and vanilla, is quite enjoyable. This is one you’ll definitely want to add to your “to try” list.

Snubie’s Thoughts: If you’ve never heard of Zeronito, it’s a line of products that is similar to nicotine pouches, but doesn’t contain any tobacco or nicotine. So, you can put a pouch in your lip and encounter the same feeling, and the same flavor release, but without any nicotine behind it. Products like these are for those quitting tobacco, or quitting nicotine, but not quite wanting to give up the feeling of a pouch in the lip. The MicroZero folks are great at flavor profiles, and I find this one to not be any different. This one has a direct flavor of black coffee without a lot of added stuff to it. It’s slightly sweet, and has a nice flavor presence to it. I felt like including it on this list because it was a little different from the others!
The Bottom Line
No matter where you fall on the spectrum, or what type of product you enjoy, there is certainly something on this list that you’ll like. If you’re a coffee lover, well, look no further. Any of these products will serve as a fitting pairing with your morning cup of coffee! I mention that I’m not a coffee drinker to show that even those who don’t enjoy this beverage can still enjoy pouches with these flavors. Whether you like snus, nicotine pouches, or something without tobacco or nicotine, there’s options for you. While this isn’t the most common flavor out there, it does seem that there are a few options available for those looking for this sort of flavor. So, grab one, or all of them on your next order.
