Adding a kick of spice to your pouch routine!
If you know me, you know I like spicy stuff! One of the things I’ve been most happy about the past several years is seeing all the new spicy flavors of products out there. I myself am more of a snus guy, but one thing that keeps me interested in nicotine pouches is also the spicy flavors! One I’ve been a big fan of lately is the taste of jalapeno lime, which is a popular flavor in the Loop series. If you’ve found yourself curious about trying spicy flavors, today we’re going to go down the line and talk about a lot of them. Many of these have multiple strengths available, so if the flavor sounds interesting you can find a strength level that fits just right with your standard go-to strength.
It’s interesting how fast this category has developed. I remember when Loop launched their first one in 2020. Others have started doing this, but it appears that Loop is really intrigued by this flavor category. From the beginning with Jalapeno Lime, they expanded to add on more flavors with a spicy tinge to them. The Loop line is certainly one that has a lot of different options for those who like a little heat with their pouch. It has been promising to see others trying out this type of flavor, and as someone who enjoys a spicy taste I really hope to see more manufacturers embracing this trend and diving into it.

Loop Habanero Mint (available in Extra Strong and Hyper Strong)

Snubie’s Thoughts: You know, you wouldn’t think that blending mint and spicy peppers would work. But, surprisingly, it does. In this spicy rendition, Loop blends habanero along with along with peppermint. The flavor itself is also slightly sweet, which is pretty interesting given the spicy nature of the habanero pepper. All of this actually comes together pretty well. When you think about it, there’s a lot of mint flavors out there. Adding something spicy to the mix makes this flavor one of the most unique nicotine pouch flavors on the market.
Jalapeno Lime (available in Strong, Extra Strong, and Hyper Strong)

Snubie’s Thoughts: This one is my personal favorite of this entire list. I mostly use snus, but I like the taste of this jalapeno lime so much that I use it a lot. I always have some in my freezer, and generally have a can open from time to time. It’s one that you can use all the time, but it’s also one that is great for other situations. For me, this is one of my favorite products to pair with a beer. I find the lime taste goes great with a brew, and the jalapeno adds an unlikely companion with the heat. But, that aside, this flavor is one that you can use on a regular basis. If you’re looking for something that can be your all day, every day type of flavor - this is one that really hits all the high marks.
Loop Hot Mango (available in Strong and Extra Strong)

Snubie’s Thoughts: I’m a major beach bum. So, I am a big fan of all kinds of tropical flavors. Mango is one that I really enjoy. There aren’t a ton of tropical flavored nicotine pouches, or ones with mango for that matter, but I will say this is one that stands out. With this one, you get the juicy, tropical mango taste but there’s a little lime to it. Then, of course, the addition of spicy chili pepper. It’s a lot like when you have a margarita with the chili on the rim. You get the tropical taste, but the added bonus of some heat to it. This one definitely stands out, and is probably my second favorite flavor following behind Loop Jalapeno Lime.
Loop Red Chili Melon

Snubie’s Thoughts: This is a relatively new one that surprised me with the flavor. Melon is a pretty common flavor in snus and nicotine pouches. The taste of melon is juicy, fresh, and slightly sweet. But, Loop is slightly different with this variant because it packs a little heat to it. So, you put a pouch in, and you’re enjoying the flavor release of the melon, but you notice a little heat in the lip. Then, a spicy flavor of chili pepper comes along and really makes this one go a different way. But, in my opinion, a much better way, because it isn’t your standard, straightforward melon taste. This is definitely a must-try, it’s super tasty.
Velo Fresh Jalapeno

Snubie’s Thoughts: As I mentioned before, Loop Jalapeno Lime is a favorite of mine. Well, BAT decided they wanted to get in on the game and release one in their Velo series. Meet Velo Fresh Jalapeno Strong Slim! This one is also a pretty good one. It’s pretty similar to Loop Jalapeno Lime, in that it has a combination of spicy citrus and a little heat to it. The pouch is one of the main differences, in that it’s a little more slim and moist than the Loop version. It also seems to have slightly more heat to it. So, I’d say try them both if you want the jalapeno lime taste, and see which one you like best.
ZoneX Hot Beat

Snubie’s Thoughts: I just had this one recently and was pretty intrigued by it when I saw the word Sriracha. If you're not familiar with Sriracha, think about that little bottle with the rooster on it when you go out for Chinese food. It’s a red chili type of sauce with a little garlic to it, and it’s honestly great on anything. I like it on eggs. This pouch has that spicy red chili flavor to it, along with just a little hint of lime to it. It packs a good amount of heat, and has a really nice flavor to it. It’s similar to Loop and Velo, but the red chili pepper tastes slightly different from jalapeno, but still pairs great with the lime flavor profile.
The Bottom Line
If you’re like me and like it hot, this list has a lot of great options to it. Whether you want something with mint, something with jalapeno, or something with mango, there’s a little bit of everything here for you to try out. Honestly, I’d just get a can or two of each on your next order because you never know which one you’re going to enjoy the most. You may fall in love with all of them. Trust me, it’s a difficult decision. For me, it’s been pretty exciting to see so many of these spicy flavors coming onto the market. I’m hopeful that as popular as this flavor category is becoming, that we’ll see more and more of these coming out. I’m a big snus guy, but honestly this type of flavor is the one thing that keeps me coming back to use nicotine pouches here and there. So, go grab some, load up, and enjoy the spice!
