Review: G4 Cryo
Today, we’re checking out a different type of snus made by Swedish Match: G.4 Cryo! The G.4 line is a line that contains a special type of material in each pouch: white tobacco! White tobacco is a special type of cleansed tobacco, and, along with a little plant fiber, is what makes up the G.4 series. This is one of the stronger ones in the series, and comes with a fresh mint flavor! So, let’s dive on into it and check this one out, shall we?
The flavor description on this one says, “An all-white snus from G.4 with discreet slim-portions, ultra-strong kicks and an ice-cold peppermint flavor”. The catch lid is right on top of the can, and you’ll find it to be a handy place to discard of your used portions if you aren’t near a trash bin. Each can weigh 19.2 grams, and I count 24 portions, sitting at 0.8 grams each. The nicotine content sits at 26mg/g, making this a super strong. With 0.8g portions, the nicotine per portion sits at 20.8mg/portion.
Opening the can, a sharp, present, sweet aroma of mint greets you along with tones of menthol. The portions are slim, moderately moist, and soft to the touch. I find them to have a comfortable fit under the lip. They have a slight burn at first, and then a gentle cooling presence. In the flavor profile, it’s pretty refreshing. The peppermint flavor is icy, and bold. There is some menthol kicking about, but isn’t too overpowering. The nicotine on this one, though, is quite strong. It feels to be at the extra strong level, perhaps a little above! The flavor lasts a good 40-45 minutes, on average.
The Bottom Line
I’ve always liked the G.4 line, especially at night. I am one that likes to sleep with a snus in, and being a white tobacco product there’s no major drip to worry about, or at least not one that will disturb your oral hygiene.
