Best Mint Snus Products
In the world of snus, and nicotine pouches for that matter, there is one flavor that has more presence than any other flavor out there: mint. Whether you’re a mint, spearmint, menthol, or mint blend fan, there are all sorts of flavors and strengths and portion formats out there. But, it can be kind of intimidating. When I first started using snus back in 2009, there was only a handful of mint products. It was actually, back then, one of the least popular and least common flavors. Now, you could throw a rock and hit a mint product. They are absolutely everywhere.
With me, I was mint exclusive when I first started using snus. It was the only flavor I enjoyed, and it was all that I used. We like sweet stuff here. Over the years I did evolve out of my “mint phase”, but I still always keep mint snus around. For me, it’s one I like after a meal, or when the weather is cold, and always after brushing my teeth. There’s no taste better than a fresh mint snus portion after you brush your teeth. Try it, you’ll thank me later. So, I have been tasked with quite a feat! Today, I’m going to survey the entire world of snus products and try to narrow it down to 5 that I think are the best of the best. This will be a fun challenge!
#1 - Nick & Johnny Green Ice

Snubie’s Thoughts: I’ve always been more of a spearmint guy than a peppermint guy. Don’t get me wrong, I use both. But spearmint has always been more of my favorite. I like the smooth, sweet essence of it. There aren’t a lot of spearmint snus products, in fact most are more peppermint than anything. But, this is one of the best ones. I’ve loved this one ever since 2013, when it was called “Catch Spearmint Long White Portion”. Around 2015, it was rebranded as Nick & Johnny Green Ice, and has remained that ever since. If you like snus with a smooth, sweet flavor, this is one you’ll like. It has slim white portions, which provide more comfort and discretion. It also isn’t insanely strong, which is a nice point for this one, too. When most snus products are way too strong these days, I find this to be a nice break from that.
#2 - Offroad Frosted Original Portion

Snubie’s Thoughts: I’ve been a massive Frosted fan for a long, long time. Back in 2009, I was a big fan of Thunder Frosted. I know, you hear that name and you think nicotine pouches. But, before it was a nicotine pouch, it was one of the most popular snus products in the world. I used that one for quite a while but wanted to cut down on my strength. Around that time, V2 Tobacco (the company that used to make this product before Swedish Match bought them out) brought Offroad Frosted to the market. This one has a lighter nicotine strength, but a flavor that was very similar to it’s bigger, stronger brother. One thing I really like about this one is the price. It has a great, high quality taste and experience to it, but it’s one of the cheaper mint products on this list. You really get the best of both worlds. You get a great tasting snus product, but also a pretty cheap price tag. This is also one of those snus products you can use all day long if you’re a big fan of mint snus.
#3 - Kapten Mint Extra Stark White Portion

Snubie’s Thoughts: A lot of people sleep on Kapten. It’s a brand that doesn’t get talked about very much. This one originally was created by AG Snus, which is another company that got bought out by a bigger company. PMI now owns AG Snus, which is interesting because they also own Swedish Match, which I just talked about. This snus is called an Extra Stark, but it’s not one that feels extra strong. Honestly, it feels to be about the strong level. One thing I like about it is the portions. These feel great in the lip. They’re really plump, and have a really nice mouthfeel to them. The flavor is also quite nice. The peppermint is mild, and it’s not overly sweet, nor is it super sharp in presence. This is a great snus, and one I actually use regularly myself. This one and Green Ice.
#4 - Catch XRANGE Slim White Portion

Snubie’s Thoughts: Most of the peppermint snus products on this list are milder ones. This one, Kapten, and the one I’ll talk about next, Skruf. There are ones out there that are more sharp and icy. But I like peppermint that is more gentle. Catch XRANGE Mint Slim White Portion definitely has that. The portions are the slim type, and they’re also quite soft under the lip. The peppermint flavor is gentle, and mild. This one I used to use a lot, but lately I’ve been using more Kapten. But it’s a snus that I really dig and will order from time to time. In fact, as I write this, now I have a craving for it. I’ll have to go order some from SnusExpress.com when I finish this article. But, it’s a really good snus. Very well balanced. You could use this one all day and not burn out on it if you like peppermint.
5 - Skruf Fresh Slim White (Regular Strength)

Snubie’s Thoughts: This one has been around for quite a while. I remember using this one a lot around 2015, so it’s been around for quite a while. One thing that is cool about this one that none of the other products on the list can say is this: you can get it in literally any strength you want. Regular, Strong, Extra Strong, and Ultra Strong: Skruf Fresh has it all. I’m more partial to the regular strength or strong version myself, but there are stronger variants if that’s your cup of tea. This one is a milder peppermint. One difference with this one is that there is a little menthol in the flavor. Not too much that the sun becomes medicinal, by any means. But, it has a little bit of it kicking around in the background that you’ll notice. The peppermint character on this one is top notch though. It’s not super sweet, and I’m not one who wants to use a lot of super sweet snus all the time. If I want a mint snus, I want something gentle, mild, and well balanced. This one definitely hits all those marks for me.
The Bottom Line
Like I mentioned before, there are a lot of mint products out there. But what’s neat about this flavor is that you can get it how you want it. You can have it in white, white dry, or original portion. You can have it in mini or full size portion. You can have it regular strength, strong, extra strong, ultra strong, or mega crazy strong (for those who are into that). It’s truly a diverse and flexible flavor. While not one I use constantly, it’s one I always keep around. I brush my teeth a lot, so that may be why I use a lot. But honestly, after you brush your teeth, do you want to taste bergamot? Do you want to taste licorice? Not this guy. I want something fresh. So mint snus definitely fits the bill for me when I’m looking for something with that fresh essence to it.
