Review: Dope Freeze Strong Edition

Review: Dope Freeze Strong Edition

Today, we’re going to be reviewing a nicotine pouch in the Dope series! Meet Dope Freeze, the “Strong Edition”! This is probably only the second Dope product I’ve had before. I checked out a lime flavor they made a while back, which was pretty decent, but I don’t recall having any of their mint flavors. Yes, I know, mint nicotine pouches are kind of the bulk of what is out there nowadays in the smokeless department, and it seems like day by day more and more are popping up. If you’re a mint fan, you must be in “hog heaven” (as we say here in the South), because you get your pick of the litter when it comes to exactly what type of mint product you want! If you’ve never had this one before, strap yourselves in, because today we’re going to check out the “dope rush” of their “instant kick technology” when we dive into this review. Let’s get into it!

The product description for this one says, “Dope Freeze Strong Slim by CBI is tobacco free, stimulating and refreshingly minty. Its all-white and discreet nicotine pouches deliver strong nicotine kicks (11 mg/portion) together with an icy mint flavor topped with a dash of eucalyptus that leaves a freezing cooling sensation under your lip.The all-white and high-quality filling used by its comfortable and slim nicopods consists of natural plant fibers. This innovative choice of filling ensures that they won’t stain and that they provide a long-lasting release of both mint and nicotine. You can now buy your can or roll of the powerful and freezingly minty Dope Freeze Strong Slim online right here at SnusExpress.com!”

Each can weighs in at 15.4g and has 22 pouches, for 0.7g each. The nicotine content sits at 16mg/g, which breaks down to 11.2mg/pouch. Honestly, not as strong as I expected. This is closer to the nicotine strength range I commonly use. Another thing that is interesting about this one is the catch lid. This one doesn’t come off, it actually has a little swivel on it that you can turn to open up the top compartment and deposit your used nicotine pouches. Honestly, a pretty neat little feature.

Opening up the can, the aroma of this one is pretty sharp and present. I smell a present tone of menthol, along with a little peppermint in the mix. It’s not super sweet, but does have some sweeter tones to it than others I’ve had. The pouches are pretty slim, moderately moist, and soft. Under the lip I find them to be pretty comfortable. At first, I get a little burn/tingle under the lip, which gives way to a refreshing cooling sensation. In the flavor profile, it’s a pretty refreshing, icy mint taste. It’s a mix of peppermint and menthol, with a little bit of sweetness in the mix. The nicotine strength isn’t too strong, and feels to deliver about the strong level. The flavor hangs out a good 35-40 minutes, on average.

The Bottom Line

This one wasn’t too bad after all. The name and the graphics were a bit much for me, but inside the can is what matters the most. If you like products like Velo/Lyft Ice Cool, you’d enjoy this one. It’s a pretty fresh mint flavor, and has a nice mix of peppermint and menthol. There’s a lot of mint products on the market. And yes, they do all kind of run together. But the best advice I have is to just try as many as you can, because you’ll find one that appeals to you and is exactly what you’re looking for in this flavor category!
