Snubie’s Comments: I always thought this one had a really neat flavor. There aren’t a lot of grape flavored products in the world of smokeless tobacco, and BAT really made an interesting one with this one. It’s kind of a sweeter grape, but it’s a really nice, refreshing flavor. I like the larger version, but there are a lot out there who prefer the mini format!

Snubie’s Comments: This one has always been one of the more popular flavors in the Velo series. I like that it’s minty, but not super sweet. It has a nice peppermint taste, but also seems to have a little cooling menthol to it as well. It’s strong, but not too strong, and has a nice balance to it.

Snubie’s Comments: The Velo series has a lot of mint flavors to it. Of all of them, this is probably my favorite one. This one has a spearmint taste, whereas most of the other mint flavors in the Velo family are peppermint or menthol. This one is smooth, not super sweet, and has a really nice, enjoyable, balanced flavor to it.

Snubie’s Comments: This one is one of the earliest flavors, going back to Lyft Licorice in 2018. There aren’t a lot of straightforward licorice flavored nicotine pouches out there, and I find this to be one of the more traditional ones, without a lot added to it. Just a straightforward, direct taste of licorice. It’s pretty tasty stuff.

Snubie’s Comments: This is probably one of my favorite flavors in the Velo line. This one and the Elderflower one. With Velo Breeze Mango, you get a nice balanced taste of mango and passionfruit. It also has a slight touch of orange to it. I usually will keep some of this around in the summer, because it’s one of my favorite summer flavors to bring to the beach with me. But, it’s also good anytime of year if you like tropical tastes!

It became quite popular and was added to the Lyft / Velo series full time in 2020, and has continued to be a popular one. I like the refreshing, lightly sweet taste of strawberry. Also, one I enjoy in the summertime!

Snubie’s Comments: This is another one I like in the summertime, much like Velo Breezy Mango. This one is different, as it has the taste of Pina Colada! It’s a little strong, and has an extra kick to it, which makes it a pretty nice one to pair with your favorite summertime, tropical beverage. This is one I’d definitely suggest trying out, it’s super tasty!

Snubie’s Comments: Elderflower is a very uncommon flavor in the world of snus, and nicotine pouches. You don’t see it very often, which is sad, because it’s one of my favorite flavors. When I saw that there was going to be one in the Velo series, I was quite happy about that. I was worried it wouldn’t stay around long because I didn’t know others liked Elderflower as much as I did! However, it’s proven quite popular, and it continues in this series with a new name! If you like the taste of elderflower, or want something sweet and springy, this is one I suggest you check out!

Snubie’s Comments: I’m not one who uses a lot of eucalyptus / menthol flavors. I will when I have a cold, but it’s not a flavor I use much of. This one has a big, slightly sweet, refreshing menthol taste to it. If you’re into menthol, you’ll probably dig it. While it’s not for me, I have friends who love this flavor and swear by it.

Snubie’s Comments: This is another one of their more bold mint flavors. This one has that straightforward, powerful, icy peppermint taste. It has a little menthol to it, and just a slight sweetness. This is one for those who want a strong kick, and a bold, powerful mint taste!

Snubie’s Comments: This one is going to be very similar to the last one in terms of flavor, however it has a much stronger nicotine kick to it. So if you’re trying out the 14mg Mighty Peppermint and want something stronger, this one, at 17mg, may be what you’re in the market for!

Snubie’s Comments: I remember trying this one last year and wasn’t sure what to think of it. There are a lot of mint flavors in the Lyft and Velo series, that’s for sure. This one reminds me a lot of Ice Cool (now known as Crispy Peppermint. If you like that one, you will probably like this one. It has as similar flavor, with the blending of peppermint and a hint of menthol.

Snubie’s Comments: Grapefruit isn’t a super common flavor in nicotine pouches, so I was pretty excited when this one came out. Usually, I’m not a fan of blending mint with other flavors. It often doesn’t work. However, the way the mint mixes with the tart grapefruit flavor of this one actually works pretty well. It’s a surprisingly good taste.

Snubie’s Comments: This one is a lot like the last one, as it blends mint and another flavor. Again, usually not my cup of tea! But, with this one, it’s not super minty. The watermelon flavor comes across pretty clearly, and it has a little refreshing presence to it. Almost like a light cooling, but not a super minty one. It’s a surprising taste!

Snubie’s Comments: This is a relatively new one that I really enjoy. I’ve long been a fan of Loop’s Jalapeno Lime, and when I tried this one I found it to be similar, but a little different. This one has a nice lime base, but almost seems to have a little more heat to it, and a little more jalapeno taste. For someone who likes spicy stuff, that’s something that is right up my alley! If you like spice, and citrus, this is one you’ll want to check out, it’s really good stuff.

BAT fixed that, and launched Royal Purple in a long/slim format! This one has the same great taste of the mini, but in a more regular sized pouch. If you like grape, this is one you’ll want to try out!

Snubie’s Comments: This one is a lot like the Witty Spearmint I mentioned above, but in the mini format. Velo Spiffy Spearmint has that same smooth, lightly sweet spearmint taste that I enjoy. But, you can find it in the mini format with Velo Spiffy Spearmint. While I don’t use a lot of mini pouches, I find people who do are big fans of this one. It’s one you’ll want to check out if you like a fresh taste and a smaller pouch size.

Snubie’s Comments: I talked a little about Velo Ice Cool above, this is the mini version of that one. I’ve been glad to see mini nicotine pouches coming onto the market lately, because it’s something that we haven’t seen much of in the past. With this one, you get a smaller, more discrete pouch, but the same ice cold flavor of the larger version. Velo Crispy Peppermint Mini has a pretty nice peppermint taste, rounded out with hints of menthol, and a faint sweetness. If you like mint, you’ll enjoy this one!
The Bottom Line
And there you have it. Wow! That’s a lot of products. One thing that stood out when I was going through this list is that Velo Royal Tea seems to have bit the dust. It’s unfortunate, as I really liked that one. But it seems Frosty Grapefruit is staying, which is a decent replacement for that one. Now that we’ve talked about all the new names and changes coming to the Velo line, let me give you my ranking of my top favorites from this list!
VELO Breezy Mango Slim - one of my favorites because of it’s fresh, tropical, fruity flavor!
VELO Blushy Berry - a great summertime taste, I love it’s refreshing taste of strawberry.
VELO Zesty Elderflower - one of the only elderflower tastes on the market, this one packs the flavor of spring into a pouch!
VELO Lime Flame - if you like it hot, this is one you’ll want to try out. The pairing of lime and jalapeno is top notch with this one.
VELO Groovy Grape - an uncommon, but very enjoyable flavor, I really enjoy the lightly sweet, fresh taste of grape in this one!
You can try out the entire line if you want, but those are the top 5 I would personally suggest trying out. I think these are some of the better nicotine pouch flavors on the market. The Velo line is a high quality line, and it stands out compared to a lot of others on the market. There’s a reason it’s one of the most popular nicotine pouch series out there!
