Review: Dope Ice Cool
Welcome back to another review! Today, I have something that’s new to me, Dope Ice Cool Strong Edition! I’ve had a few Dope products in the past, but I’ve never had their Ice Cool flavor. This will be fun, we’ll experience this product for the first time together. Dope is a line of nicotine pouches made in the EU. The Dope line has some pretty interesting flavors to it, including mango and lime. Those are two of my personal favorite tastes. This one is a mint pouch. Yes, I know, there are a million mint nicotine pouches in the world. But, that’s a good thing if you’re a fan of mint. This means you can try out all the mint flavors out there and find a product that fits exactly, precisely, perfectly what you’re looking for in a pouch. Who knows, Dope Ice Cool could be your next favorite product! So, let’s crack a can open and check this one out!
The flavor description on this one says, "Dope Ice Cool Strong Slim by CBI is tobacco free, powerful and refreshingly minty. Its discreet nicotine pouches deliver strong nicotine kicks (11 mg/portion) together with an intense and icy flavor burst of mint that provides a nice cooling effect.The all-white filling used by its slim and comfortable nicopods consists of natural plant fibers. A high-quality filling that eliminates any potential risk of them leaving stains while it also reduces their drip. This low amount of drip ensures in turn that they provide a long-lasting release of both flavor and nicotine”. Each can weighs in at 15.4 grams and has 22 pouches, for 0.7 gram pouches. The nicotine content is 16mg/g, or 11.2mg/pouch.
One quick added note is the catch lid. This one is on there pretty good! It’s attached at two points. So, you may notice you have to kind of pull it off to get it off. For those new to nicotine pouches, this top lid is a place you can discard of your used pouches if you aren’t near a trash bin.
Now, on to the review!
Opening up the can, the aroma that comes through is a fresh, present, icy peppermint. It’s a pretty nice aroma, and quite refreshing. The pouches are pretty nice under the lip. They have a soft feel to the touch with moist contents. Under the lip, they feel comfortable against the gum. The moist pouch allows flavor to release quickly, as does the nicotine. Being a mint product, I encounter a nice cooling sensation under the upper lip, as well! In the flavor profile, it’s a pretty direct taste of mint. The peppermint flavor is fresh, and I find it to be relatively smooth, and gentle. It has some sweetness to it, but it’s not an overly sweet pouch. It’s a pretty well rounded, refreshing flavor. The nicotine kick is pretty decent, feeling just a little above the regular strength level. I find the nicotine to come on pretty quickly with this one, as well. The flavor lasts a good 35-40 minutes, which is about the norm when it comes to the flavor longevity of nicotine pouches.
The Bottom Line
All in all, this one was pretty decent. I’ve had a lot of mint nicotine pouches over the years. More than I could count. A lot of these flavors tend to run together for me, to be honest with you. I found this one to be pretty decent, and it surprised me how much I enjoyed it. The refreshing flavor, the sweetness, the nicotine delivery, all in all it was a pretty pleasant and enjoyable experience.
