Review: Lundgren’s Skåne Stark White
Today, we’re going to talk about a snus in the popular Lundgren’s line: Skåne Stark! Lundgren’s is a snus line made by BAT / Fiedler & Lundgren in Sweden. It has some popular flavors in it such as this one, but also my favorite, Lundgren’s Norrland. These are products that are themed after parts of Sweden, and have outdoorsy inspired flavors. The Skåne flavor is arguably their most popular, however, and is one of the most popular snus products around, in general. So, let’s dive into this review and check out this tasty snus!

The flavor description on this one says, “a well-rounded tobacco character and flavor that is complemented by a tasty touch of Swedish forest berries”. You’ll find the catch lid located on top of the can, and is a place you can discard of your used portions if you aren’t near a trash bin. It also has the rubbery seal inside, which can expand as you add more used portions to it. Each can weighs 19.2 grams and has 22 portions, for 0.87g each. The nicotine content is 17mg/g, which breaks down to 14.84mg/portion.

When you open the can, the aroma that comes through is a nice, outdoorsy aroma. I notice some spruce and a little pine up front, followed by a little forest berry in the background. It’s a darker, red type of berry. It’s not super sweet, and mixes well with the spruce. This product comes with the perforated pouches. These portions have little holes in them to help release the flavor faster. They’re semi-dry, and plump. I find I can’t use them full time, as they can irritate my gum, but I do like to use a can here and there. The flavor is quite good. It’s outdoorsy, and has a nice presence of tobacco. The spruce/pine balance kicks in pretty well, and the forest berry is a nice backing to the flavor. Between all those components, it’s a pretty enjoyable taste. The nicotine kick on this one is pretty solid, and feels to be around the strong level. It’s not too strong, not too weak, and has a nice hit. The flavor lasts a good hour, on average.
The Bottom Line
Lundgren’s is a solid line of snus. Honestly, there isn’t a bad product in the Lundgren’s family. The Skåne flavor is most popular, but again, I like Norrland a bit more. That being said, this is still a really good snus. I don’t use it all the time, but I do keep a can in stock for occasional usage. It’s also one I really like to use when I’m outdoors; it really has the taste of nature to it! If you haven’t had this one before, go grab a can and give it a go!
