Review: Kaliber+ Original Portion
I often talk about this product when talking about underrated snus products. Swedish Match’s Kaliber+ Original Portion is one that has a really unique taste, and one that stands out. To me, it’s one I keep around for use from time to time, and is something I get a craving for here and there. This is one that has an interesting taste, and is one you have to check out for yourself. So, why don’t we dive on into this review and check out Kaliber+ Original Portion?
The flavor description on this one says, “A great-vaule Kaliber Snus with original portions, strong kicks and a taste of dark tobacco topped by tones of bergamot, lingonberries, cacao and Seville orange!” Doesn’t that just sound unique? Each can clocks in at 18 grams and has 20 portions, for 0.9g each. The nicotine content sits at 11mg/g, and with 0.9g portions that breaks down to 9.9mg/portion.
On top of the can, you’ll locate the catch lid, which is a place you can put used portions if you aren’t near a trash bin. When you open the can, you’ll see plump, original portions. They have a nice feel to the touch, and are comfortable under the lip. The aroma of this one is pretty interesting. I pick up the touch of lingonberry first, with a light nature of citrus behind it and a dark tobacco character. Under the lip, the flavor develops pretty quickly! The flavor is a complex one, but one that works really well. The dark tobacco base is complimented by lingonberry, which is what I pick up most in the flavor profile. There’s a bright touch of citrus in the background, which compliments the berry quite well. In the nicotine strength, while this one is called a “stark”, to me it feels to be closer to the regular strength level, maybe just a hair above. The flavor hangs out a good 40-45 minutes, on average.
The Bottom Line
As mentioned before, this is truly an underrated product. To me, it’s one that stands out compared to a lot of other products on the market. This is a product I don’t use all the time, but it’s one I keep on hand for use when I get a craving for it. If you like tobacco flavors, and want something with a little depth to it, this is one you’ll definitely want to check out at some point. It’s a really unique, and enjoyable flavor!
